Chung Man HO
As a Music teacher with 20 years of experience teaching school band and ensemble in high school and primary settings. Also, I was a founder and director of Concerto Art’s Power from 2005 to 2020. I apply with enthusiasm for this opportunity.
I am currently the Piano and Keyboard teacher at Solihull Music School and Private lesson in Person, where I cultivate students’ interest in keyboard music through teaching finger techniques, scale, theory, solfege singing and sight reading. I explain and demonstrate pitch, phrase, tempo, rhythm dynamic and other music concepts that are fundamental to playing music .
I find teaching energizing and intellectually stimulating, especially in view of the steep challenges that music education now present. While I teaching my students to be excellent player and performers, i also strongly believe that music positively influences self-esteem, communication skill, stress management and creativity for their entire life. Furthermore, while it is important to draw upon classical and popular music, I also seek out contemporary material to stimulate younger leaners.
In additional to my experience, I hold a Professional Diploma at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Certificate of Yamaha teacher training. Before I became a teacher, I composed and arranged music for musical drama of schools and music books of popular songs in Hong Kong. And learnt the updated Music Production course in pop music. This enable me to better relate to students for different culture backgrounds.
