Castle Wong is an emerging musician in Hong Kong, starting his career as a performer in various local performances. He is violist of the Hong Kong Orchestra and the Global Symphony Orchestra, and guest player of the SAR Philharmonic, frequently performing in China and Asia with different association.
Castle is a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), study under the tutelage of Dr Felix Ungar. He received ensemble training from renowned musicians like Orion Quartet, Shanghai Quartet, Mr Hoai Nam Le etc. He was chosen to participate in the Opera production twice, performed the Tales of Hoffmann and the Magic Flute under Nabil Shehata and Eitan Globerson.
Castle received scholarships to participate in the APA string festival and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in the US in 2018 and 2019. He studied with Zvi Carmeli, Susan Dubois and Sheila Browne during the festivals, also received chamber coaching by Dmitri Shteinberg, Janet Sung and Won Bin Yim. Castle was chosen to perform in numerous Masterclasses and concerts, among them, the performance of theShostakovich Piano Quintet and Ravel String Quartet as the finale were also applauded by the audience, being highly appreciated.
